The popular tales of the"Croatian Andersen" Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić, are the inspiration for this dance piece about the battle between good and evil and intended for children aged 3 to 11.  Stories for Afar "Priče iz davnine" are introduced to us by the organ player who, through the peculiar sound of his instrument, brings us the sense of the times past. However, the organ player suddenly transforms himself into a fireplace from which little plames spark out… the Domaći (hosts) and the story develops into a very surprising sequence of events…

At the core of this performance is Pina Bausch, the choreographer and dance artist. Between the 70’s and the 90’s of the 20th century her works questioned the conventional boundaries of dance, drama and opera.

"Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives" by David Eagleman which prompted the British comedian Stephen Fry to promise to eat  40 hats, while inspiring  Brian Eno to compose for the Sydney Opera, is also the inspiration for this performance about life’s achievements and failures from the perspective of – the after-life. The author dedicates the performance to those we lost, and to the few we would like to encounter again…
