Irena studied at Modern Theater Dance Departement on Theaterschool in Amsterdam. After she received her BA in dance she started her freelancing career in Holland and collaborated with various choreographers: P.S. Norton, P.Rogie, B. Listopad, Maria Ines Villasmil amongst others. Recently she returned to Zagreb, where she continues to work as a dancer, teacher and choreographer, taking part in both, domestic productions and international projects abroad.

dance_lab collective was formed in 2003 in need to research established dance forms and for discoveries of new methods for creating dance vocabulary. Kotur and Mihoci are joining in the following season.

Fronesis is a small company formed by former pupils of Ana Maletic Dance School, designed to perform dance pieces for children, as well as pieces on the music of Croatian and foreign contemporary composers. Until now were produced two titles: Little Helping Devil and Dispersed toys. Encouraged by success among children and pedagogues we decided to constitute a group.

Performing arts collective VRUM, with its artistic leader Sanja Tropp Frühwald is structured as a collective whose main interest is primarily based on contemporary dance, but is as well spreading into contemporary theater, visual arts, music and photography. In the very essence of artistic work of the collective lies The Body: multidimensional body, fusion of different approaches to contemporary performance, choreography of voice and vocalisation of the body, moving and thinking body of the performer, body’s possibility of communication.
