Target groups:
The BSP summer school is a programme of workshops, trainings and researches, addressed to actors, performers, dancers, choreographers, directors, researchers in the field of performing arts and other contemporary artists interested in the programme.
Programme:
The programme will include daily Feldenkreis classes, dance classes, as well as the conceptual work with text, body, video/multimedia, writing and other elements necessary for the creation of a performance. At the end, the participants will be able to present the results of their work.
Structure of the programme:
- In the morning, the participants will be able to choose between Feldenkrais, lead by Paul Neuningen- Vienna and Body training class, lead by the choreographer Galina Borissova.
- In the afternoon, there is a creative and practical workshop, lead by members of brain store project under the theme
“Reality & fiction”
Reality: research and individual interpretation of existing reality media formats with existing examples from TV, internet etc.
Fiction: creation of visual and body images based on the examination of Science Fiction models
The studies and their results will lead to the creation of a complex artistic performative product.
The working process will include: practical daily tasks, based on the main theme, e.g. working with a particular text, film, visual material. The participant should elaborate his personal artistic statement. There will be a stress on a site-specific research by the means of video, photography and multimedia and by a research trip to the island St.Anastassia. In addition, the participants will be able to work conceptionally with the garment, its flexibility and transformation possibilities and its function in the performance.

- a CV
- a motivation letter
- a personal photo
Costs:
- participation fee of 150 EUR to be transferred till May 1st, 2008
- workshops’ and classes’ fee for the whole period of 340 EUR to be paid by the beginning of the programme – June 1st, 2008
- travel expenses to Burgas
- visa costs (if a visa is necessary)
Conditions:
- accommodation – 9 nights in a double room in a hotel in the centre of the city
- workshops and trainings during the whole period
- research trip to the nearby island St.Anastassia
- opening reception and closing party
- meeting and exchange with local artists
- 1 day off for sightseeing and personal excursion
Workshop leaders:
Бbrain Сstore Пproject – creative concepts’ store is a long-term project for interdisciplinary work, founded by a group of artists working in the field of contemporary arts.
The members of Бbrain Сstore Пproject are the performing artists Willy Prager, Mila Odazhieva, Iva Sveshtarova, and the designer Neli Mitewa. Their common work includes the realisation of own and co-productions with local and international artists such as Thomas Lehmen, Thomas Plischke, Xavier Le Roy, Alan Good etc.
Бbrain Сstore Пproject gives a platform for the creating and producing of own artistic projects in the field of performing and visual arts, fashion design and their boundary forms.
The core of the projects and actions of Бbrain Сstore Пproject is built by artistic interventions, characterized by co-authorship: the common creating of all fragments of a performance, involving the “everyday-audience” into an spontaneous cultural context.
